Bee Hive Homes FAQ
Q. Do we take people that cannot walk?
A. Yes. If you can support yourself to transfer to a wheelchair or can walk with the
help of a walker or cane, you are great for our homes. However, we cannot accept residents who are
completely bed-ridden.
Q. Do we have a nurse on staff?
A. We have a nurse that is on-call and reviews all of our resident assessments and service plans.
We have 24-hour a day care by CNA's and caregivers. Our staff is required to have CPR and first aid certifications.
Q. Do we provide diabetic meals?
A. Yes, and we can also provide meals with low or no added salt. A licensed dietitian has
designed our menu to ensure well-balanced nutrition. One of the best things about our home
is our home cooked meals.
Q. Do we have an activity program?
A. Yes. In addition to our own staff we involve many music and social groups, church and youth groups.
We have arts, crafts, cooking, games, outings, picnics and can accommodate resident's likes and pastimes.
Q. Do we accept smokers?
A. Our home is smoke free inside for the saftey and comfort of our residents and staff.
However, we do accept smokers if they smoke completely outside.
Q. Do we allow pets?
A. We may allow a small dog at times, as long as they are house trained, quiet and no one else is allergic.
Shots are required and are the responsability of the resident.
